Welcome. I provide psychotherapy services with a firm conviction that a successful therapeutic experience must embrace each person's unique experiences and circumstances. I utilize a supportive psychotherapy approach with elements of expressive interventions whenever appropriate. This is considered a psychodynamic perspective that considers past experiences and their current manifestations. This is contrary to many of the current trends in psychotherapy practice that focus less on history and feelings and more on cognitions and homework. Many problems can be resolved in a relatively brief time frame. Some difficulties require more time and a greater depth of understanding. The time frame is a collaborative process and will be discussed early during our working relationship.
